Terry Gilliam’s The Zero Theorem Trailer Starring Christoph Waltz

Terry Gilliam’s latest film The Zero Theorem premiered at the Venice Film Festival last year to predictably mixed reviews. The movie is a sci-fi satire about a computer programmer (played by Christoph Waltz) in a dystopian world who is trying to solve a mathematical formula that will reveal whether or not life holds any meaning. The cast also includes Melanie Thierry, David Thewlis, Tilda Swinton, Peter Stormare, Ben Whishaw and Matt Damon.

Since the movie still has not yet been picked up for U.S. distribution, they have decided to release an official trailer online this week in order to drum up interest. It looks colourful, comedic, chaotic and challenging… which is probably why no one wants to take a chance on it. Here’s to hoping we will get to see The Zero Theorem at some point in the near future. Check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

I hate films that portray computer programmers bald and erotically clumsy, we are studs and good with the ladies! Terry Gilliam went too far with the surrealistic elements in this one, you need to keep some level of realism otherwise nobody will take you seriously.
