It’s been over a year since we’ve heard anything about Bryan Singer’s upcoming fantasy epic Jack the Giant Slayer. The movie was delayed near the end of 2011 and went into radio silence as they apparently took some extra time to polish the special effects. Now that the movie is less than a month away from release, the marketing money is finally starting to kick in. Does it look like it was worth the wait?
A new trailer has arrived online this week along with a clip from the movie, both showing off the giants in all their CG glory. Unfortunately, they’ve also made the decision to inject the trailer with some modern rock music in an attempt to make it seem hip and cool and it just fails miserably. It hasn’t changed my mind that this movie could easily bomb, but at least they had the good sense to not go up against the summer blockbusters. Jack the Giant Slayer hits theatres on March 1st; check out the trailer and clip after the jump and see what you think.
