Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem Trailer #2

We first saw a teaser trailer for Rob Zombie’s latest film The Lords of Salem released online back in October, and it was mostly dialogue-free, showcasing creepy imagery set to classical music. Now this week a new trailer has hit the web and it’s a little more conventional, offering up the faintest hint of a story and (unfortunately) some footage of Sheri Moon Zombie actually talking. For the most part though, I am finding myself drawn in despite the fact that I’m not a big fan of Zombie’s previous work.

The story revolves around a radio DJ (Sheri Moon Zombie) living in Salem, Massachusetts, who receives a mysterious wooden box containing a record. When she decides to play it on the air, the strange music unleashes supernatural forces that may or may not be tied to the town’s violent past. Bruce Davison, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Dee Wallace and Meg Foster also star. The Lords of Salem hits select theatres on April 19th, 2013; check out the new trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

Yeah, it’s not quite as exciting as the last trailer, and Sherri Moon’s dreadlocks seem to be hogging up a lot of screen time, but I’m still pretty excited for this.

Looks like typical Zombie fair that I can’t wait to hear Jay’s comments on.

  • to bad Virgin & Blockbuster Stores aren’t around for his music & movies – ABOUT AS DATED!!
