2013 Razzie Nominations Announced

With this year’s Oscar nominations set to be announced tomorrow, you know that can only mean one thing… it’s Razzie time! As always, the Golden Raspberry Awards will honour the worst films of the year and for the most part it has become all too predictable. Like seriously… can we just give Adam Sandler a lifetime achievement award and be done with it? Even less surprising is the fact that the final Twilight film is also nominated, although in this case it is up for every single category.

Other obvious targets include Eddie Murphy, Nicolas Cage, Katherine Heigl and Battleship. Personally, I’m just happy to see Oogieloves finally get the recognition it deserves. This year’s winners will be announced on Saturday, February 23rd, the day before the Oscars. Do you agree that these are the worst movies and performances of the year? Check out the full list of nominees after the jump.

    Liam Neeson? Really?

    More like Witless Awards Show

  • Agreed. The razzies are pointless. Like, let’s nominate Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure, a movie targeted at three year olds.

Looks like a pretty weak ‘worst of’ list, even for the Razzies. Having seen a few of the afformentioned movies (Wrath of the Titans, Resident Evil (ugh…why do I even bother following this franchise anymore?), etc., none of them nor the performances generally offended me enough to even think of the Razzies.

c’mon, berg did what was asked of him.. transformers in water, michael bay’s type of crap and whatnot.

i’d pick among that’s my boy and twilight bd2

  • #3

Oh come on, Oogieloves had even the 3-year-olds going “What the fuck was that?”. I mean, I was at least 5 before I was able to say that, and I haven’t stopped since…

Seriously though, I had to put up with Oogieloves-related bullshit at my theater for months on the TVs in the lobby that only run about a 10 minute loop, and I swear, with every time the ad played, I think I could hear Chazz Palminterri’s soul die a little bit more. We put the talking standee up as a joke, and I still wasn’t convinced that it was even going to be a real movie released in theaters until the week we were booked with it. The thing tanked of course, and I think more staff members saw it out of morbid curiosity than anyone else.

Opening day I think we sold 3 tickets for Oogieloves, I don’t understand aiming a movie at the target audience that can barely watch 20 minute TV episodes.

    Milla did best.

i enjoyed ghostrider 2. thought it was super weird in a good way.
