The Incredible Burt Wonderstone Trailer Starring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey

Last month we saw the first trailer for Louis Leterrier’s magician heist movie Now You See Me and now this week Hollywood’s new obsession with magic continues with the first look at the upcoming comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. The movie stars Steve Carell as Burt Wonderstone, a famous veteran magician who has been performing in Vegas for years with his partner Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi). Recently, however, their act is starting to be threatened by hip street magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey), forcing them to return to their roots and remember what made them love magic in the first place.

The movie is directed by Don Scardino, a long-time TV director who has worked on such shows as Cosby, Law & Order and 30 Rock. What is probably a bigger selling point for most people, however, is the fact that the script was written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who also wrote Horrible Bosses. Overall, I like the concept and the cast, but the trailer didn’t do a whole lot for me. The Incredible Burt Wonderstone hits theatres on March 15th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

Steve Carell usually isn’t worth watching, but this looks like it could be really funny. I love Buschemis look.

Jay’s movie of the year. It doesn’t look terrible. Maybe there are actually funny comedies still being made after all.

This doesn’t look so bad. If people will pay to watch Hobbits walk around for 3 hours. Why not.
