Bryan Singer Confirmed for X-Men: Days of Future Past

Comic book fans are likely to have some mixed feelings about this, but it appears that Bryan Singer has officially signed on to direct X-Men: Days of Future Past, the sequel to X-Men: First Class, replacing Matthew Vaughn who left the project last week. Singer still seems like the safest and most obvious choice, but after Superman Returns, many have lost faith in his ability to direct superheroes on screen.

The last thing he directed was the pilot for The Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane which aired on NBC recently; he also has Jack the Giant Slayer coming in March. Hey, at the very least, we can still look forward to the fact that X-Men: Days of Future Past might finally feature Sentinels. Are you happy to see Singer back in the director’s chair for another X-Men movie?

I’d prefer him over, to borrow a phrase, “some fuckin’ jobber.”

  • ShenEvil44

Honestly, Singer doesn’t really make terrible movies. They are all usually decent films at the very least.

Like I’ve said earlier I don’t like his two X-Men films very much, so this is a bummer. This sequel is looking less and less interesting by every piece of news.

This has potential to be the best one yet, just based on the storyline they’re going with. It would have been nice to see Vaughn stick around, but Singer could knock this out of the park with a decent script.
