For all the latest news and reviews ? ?
Listen to the film junk podcast ? ?

  • Jonny Ashley

Umm, I downloaded a bunch of the old episodes off of the website. I didn’t use any kind of special downloading program though, I swear! I just was doing them as fast as I could in google chrome. You had to have known we’d be going into withdrawals after you guys skipped a week. We’re hooked on the fucking junk!

  • http://Www.drunkencatcomics.com Derek

    Texas Chainsaw premium, please!

  • Tum Tum Tyranus

Yes, TCM premium please. TCM 2 is worth it alone.

“Those strings are their webs” Classic.

It’s very brief but Jay laughing at Frank getting shit on by commenters made me laugh so hard. Fuck, I love Film Junk.

  • http://www.frothygirlz.com Nat Almirall

For January, how about religious films? The Passion of the Christ, 1961 Inherit the Wind, 1967 Bedazzled, and Fireproof.

  • JohnnyBlazed

    No pineapple soda in Canada?
Greg needs to look into importing some from the UK. Over here we have “Ting”, “D&G Jamaican”, and “Fanta” also do a pineapple version. There’s also “Lilt” which is pineapple and grapefruit.

  • Jack Burton

Can’t wait to listen. I’ve was relistening to your past Halloween shows last week.

  • Steve

I think a Friday the 13th premium would be awesome for next Halloween. I think I’ve seen all but two of those.

  • devolutionary

#8: Good idea Steve. Although having gone back to most of the installments via movie marathon nights makes me realize how few of them can actually hold my attention all the way through.

  • Steve Kasan

Texas Chainsaw Premium sounds great with the Jessica Biel version as a bonus.

Schwarzenegger premium has to be 3 of his lesser films:
Red Sonja, Junior, Collateral Dammage. Bonus, Carnival in Rio if you can find it.

  • Steve

Guys, what are we talking about. January needs to be an Air Bud Premium.

  • Kasper

Pineapple soda is also a regular thing here in Denmark. And here I thought North America had more of everything compared to Europe. My world view has been shattered.

  • Kasper

For a premium Frank needs to solidify his status as The KOC after all his bragging – also we have yet to have a comedy premium, so it’d be a nice change of pace.

“5 perfect picks from The King of Comedy” – preferably movies nobody else finds funny.

  • Essie

What about a David Lynch premium? There is enough weird stuff in there to poke fun at but also plenty of substance to chew on, discuss, and argue about.

  • Jack Burton

You should have different levels of premium podcasts.

Platinum – Highly produced with sound clips, intro and outro music. Minimum donation: $10

Gold – Into and outro musics but with all the “ums” left in. Minimum donation: $5

Bronze – Just the raw audio files with all the “ums” burping and farting noises left in. Minimum donation: 3 cents

  • devolutionary

According to some sources, the producers of Candyman (and Clive Barker) wanted more violence and blood. This apparently disappointed both Bernard Rose and Philip Glass in terms of the musical choices. Glad the producers didn’t try to mess with the score any further.

  • rjdelight

Can we please finally agree that just saying a movie has a “crazy/cool/great twist ending” is a spoiler.

  • http://www.seandwyer.net Sean

We can, but if you’re listening to a review of a movie you haven’t seen yet I think you have to be willing to accept that you’ll gain some minor knowledge of the film’s plot along the way. Talking about any plot elements at all can be seen as a spoiler… even just reading the IMDb plot synopsis.

  • Tum Tum Tyranus

I found it so sweet that Jay thought of Frank while watching that scene from Abbott & Costello. Little moments like these are what I latch onto.

  • Lee Paczik

January premium episode suggestion: The Godfather Trilogy. I don’t care if it doesn’t tie into anything going on in that month, this is one of the most perfect(like Raimi’s Spiderman) trilogies for you all to cover.

Also, re: Jiro Dreams of Sushi.

Japanese only has a hard “J” sound, like in Yojimbo. I am not sure why you all started pronouncing the man’s name like a Greek sandwich.

(Japanese “r” sound is sometimes compared to a mix of “r”, “l”, and “d”. )

  • http://movievigilante.tumblr.com/ MovieViewer-Man

Greg is behind the times. Pop Shoppe has a pineapple flavour http://www.thepopshoppe.com/products/pineapple-2/

  • patrik

Tarantino special would be good. Schwarzenegger would also be good, especially around that time, with his christmas movie and whatnot. Wesley Snipes special? I’d like that..

  • Bob

Disney animated films premium podcast. It makes too much sense.

  • http://www.seandwyer.net Sean

I was thinking a Disney animated premium might work for next September when The Little Mermaid gets re-released in 3D.

  • projectgenesis

Wasn’t there talk of a Pulp Hero Premium Podcast with The Shadow, The Phantom, etc. I would love that and I think it would be different.

  • http://Filmjunk.com Brittany

Jay, have you ever checked out the TV shows Face Off or Making Monster?

Also, Frank to be fair about the End of Watch comments you are a pussy.

  • Jr

You have my vote for The Godfather trilogy premium. My write-in is for a Hitchcock premium. It ties in with the two bio-pics and the new blu-ray box set coming out.

  • Steve Kasan

How about a Blade premium special? All 3 films along with a special bonus Dark City or The Crow.

In my honest opinion the first Blade film is the precursor to superhero films now taking on this “dark & gritty” tone which fanboys and execs love & want so much.

  • Pie Traynor

If I were a dying child, and I had the leverage of the Make a Wish Foundation behind me, I would not request a trip to Disney World, but a pre-Scarface Brian De Palma premium episode.

    Here’s the lineup:
    Sisters
    Phantom of the Paradise
    Obsession
    Carrie
    Dressed to Kill
    Blow Out

This is my wish. My *cough* dying wish.

  • Bob

Sean (#24), Now that makes a lot of sense. Hope it happens.

I’m all for a Godfather premium. I also like the Hitchcock idea as well as a KoC comedy selection.

  • http://www.MosserCasting.com/PlanBFromOuterSpace PlanBFromOuterSpace

The Universal Monsters Blu-Ray set doesn’t sound like a very good deal when you consider all of the great Universal Monster DVD releases that came out a few years back to tie into the release of “Van Helsing”. I know the “Frankenstein”, “Dracula”,”Mummy”, and “Wold Man” sets each included 4 or 5 movies and tons of extras, and even the “Creature From the Black Lagoon” had 3 on it. I’m not sure how much they run now or how hard they are to find, but they were only like 20-30 bucks when they were new, so to hear that the Blu-Ray set only has 8 movies when there’s so much more available is pretty disappointing.

  • Owozifa

I’d just like to say that I actually was 6 years old when I saw Jurassic Park and it scared the shit out of me.

  • mike

pretty cool you guys reviewed the american scream. was curious as to why victor didn’t do it this year, then saw that he went pro and that his name was victor, and that the doc was titled the american scream, which is odd considering i live right across the street. im not very neighborly
