This Week on DVD and Blu-ray: Magic Mike, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Take This Waltz

If you’re a manly man who was too embarrassed to be seen buying a ticket for Magic Mike back in June, now’s your chance to catch this surprisingly solid Steven Soderbergh flick on DVD or Blu-ray (buy it online if you want to to maintain your anonymity!). Other major releases this week include Timur Bekmambetov’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the overlooked Steve Carell / Keira Knightley dramedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, and Sarah Polley’s Take This Waltz. There are also a few noteworthy documentaries including Mads Brugger’s The Ambassador and Kirby Dick’s The Invisible War, and on Blu-ray we’ve got the 30th Anniversary Edition of Blade Runner, John Schlesinger’s Sunday Bloody Sunday, and the first ever proper release of Stanley Kubrick’s Fear and Desire. What will you be buying or renting this week? Check out the full list of new releases after the jump.

I’ve been wanting to see The Invisible War. I tend to like Kirby Dick’s documentaries and his style seems to have been improving.
