William Shatner’s Get a Life Trailer

With Comic-Con just two days away, the imminent pandering to fans has already begun. Morgan Spurlock’s documentary Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope just hit DVD and Blu-ray this week, and now it appears that we have yet another fan-oriented documentary that will be premiering at the Con: William Shatner’s Get a Life. The movie finds Shatner trying to get to the bottom of what makes Trekkers tick. But wait a minute, hasn’t this subject already been explored like a billion times before? Why yes… yes it has.

Watching the teaser trailer for Get a Life, it’s hard to see anything new that Shatner might be able to add to the conversation. In addition to Trekkies and Trekkies 2, there is Rod Roddenbery’s Trek Nation, which is also holding a special screening at Comic-Con this week. If Shatner’s last documentary The Captains is any indication of what to expect, I’ll probably steer clear of this one. Get a Life debuts on Epix on July 28th at 8 pm EST; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

Fans have been promised a Canadian version entitled “Fan Addicts” which will be longer than the “Get a Life” verson being shown on Epix (not available in Canada) on July 28th.

Any news would always be appreciated.
