Movie Poster Round-Up: The Avengers, Moneyball, The Hunger Games

Although the San Diego Comic-Con seems to be primarily a place for studios to promote movies with nothing to show yet, at the very least we can depend on getting a fair amount of new poster art to look at. Hey, it’s better than nothing! This year’s con saw the reveal of teaser posters for a variety of comic book movies including The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, and a whole slew of special edition Captain America posters from Olly Moss, Eric Tan and Tyler Stout courtesy of Mondo. Other major fan-driven projects getting initial one sheets included The Raven starring John Cusack, the upcoming anthology horror film Chillerama, and The Hunger Games.

Personally, I think I was most impressed with the first poster for the upcoming John Le Carre adaptation Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, plus the well-designed posters for Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion and Haywire. Oh, and that Moneyball one is pretty sweet too. Which of these new posters are you digging and which movies are you most looking forward to? Check out the full gallery after the jump.

    Lovin’ the Haywire poster

  • Deckard

The Tinker Sailor Soldier Spy poster is boss.

Why is the poster for “The Dream House” reminding me so much of “A Tale of Two Sisters”?

Oh, and I really expected much more from “The Hunger Games”… They’ve not really given the fans anything new at all compared to other films coming out around the same time. Bad promotion job, Lionsgate.

A good round up over all.

The poster for ‘The Dream House” has me thinking of “A Tale of Two Sisters” too, since the wallpaper of TTS was such an integral part of the film and we have two sisters in the DH poster w/ only one looking back at us. (Will refrain from spoiling the plot if it is indeed based on TTS.)
